Yes, you heard right! In just a few short days (eight to be exact) Rum Runner will celebrate its long-awaited release. We can’t freakin’ wait! To help us stave off our anticipation, we’re introducing you to debut author Tricia Leedom with an Author Interview Blog Series to celebrate her release day.
So without further ado…
INKY: If you weren’t an author, what would you want to be?
TRICIA: I’d want to be an actor. I dabbled in acting when I was younger and sometimes wish I’d stuck with it and pursued it as a career. I liked acting for the same reasons I enjoy writing books–both allow you to try on different hats, explore being different people, try different jobs, and live different lives. And, even better, they allow you to go on different adventures without putting yourself in any actual danger.
INKY: What is the first book that made you love romance novels?
TRICIA: Hummingbird by LaVyrle Spencer. The story of a pretty nurse who is torn between the two men she nurses back to health after a train robbery. One is a gentleman. The other is the bandit who robbed the train. Guess who I was rooting for? I read Hummingbird when I was 17. It was the first romance novel I ever read and the one that got me hooked on the genre.
