As I’ve been writing the second book in the Alpha Girl series, I’ve been thinking about my favorite werewolves on TV and film. There are quite a few that I really love, and a few that are totally terrifying. (Jack as a wolf? Intense!) But there are some that are just so adorbs (even if all but one of them lose all their humanity when they go wolf) that I thought I’d point out. 1. Michael J. Fox in Teen Wolf. I’m not talking that new show, I’m talking old school. Okay, okay. I know it’s old and dated, but this was probably my first intro to werewolves. Hmm…now that I’m thinking about it, maybe that’s why I like my wolves to not go totally cray-cray killer when they wolf-out. Anywho, what a lovable wolf! And Michael as a young in’…swoon! If you haven’t watched him play basketball as a wolf, then you haven’t lived.
2. Seth Green in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Funny. Cute. And a wolf? I’m in! Okay, so it’s Buffy and therefore gets an auto-in, but I do have a love for Seth Green. He’s just so awesomely nerdy. What’s not to love?
3. Joe Manganiello in True Blood. HAWT. Am I right, ladies? I mean…phew! Just look at those abs. This guy is out of control. Bonus points for not losing his shit when he’s a wolf. Also, he’s an alpha. So, yeah… <3
4. Scott Speedman in Underworld. Okay, so I might have a bias for him because of Felicity. Aaaaand I know technically at the end of the film he turns into a hybrid, but still, what’s not to love about Scott Speedman. I mean, just look at that face!
5. Michael Trevino in Vampire Diaries. I’m going on the record and admitting that Vampire Diaries is totally my guilty pleasure. Love it. Although I must say that I did read all of LJ Smith’s books years ago, so I’ve been a fan for a while. They did kind of do their own thing with the show, but I didn’t mind that too much. 😉 Michael plays the torn wolf really well. And how he got control over his transformation, whoa—that took some major cajones. He gets mad bonus points for that. Plus, abs!
